What do you do at Sailor V?
I am currently working as a waiter, making coffees, smoothies and juices, although I started working as kitchen porter washing dishes so I have experienced different roles. Despite still learning English, my favorite job is serving customers, I love to learn and practice English with them!
What does your average day involve?
We open every day at nine, but I’m not an early riser so I don’t think I’m fully awake until about 11! We serve breakfasts and coffees and then I work in the lunch shift and of course afternoon tea after that (when in England…). After leaving work I usually go for cider with friends, especially when the sun is shining.
What's the best thing about working here?
For me personally, it is the direct contact with customers, because every day I learn something new. It’s a great team who make you feel really motivated, that’s something I have always missed at other companies. (I promise I’m not just saying that, I am actually very happy here).
What's your favourite thing on the menu?
I love the beef chili from the winter menu. It`s lovely and hot against the cold winter, and my favorite drink is a juice called Morning Glory... it is the best!
What do you love about Salcombe in September?
This is my first September in Salcombe, so I’m looking forward to finding out, but I love the cozy atmosphere everywhere in the winter.
When you're not working, what's your favourite thing to do?
Since I started living in the UK, I have become a huge fan of computer games. I am also a musical actor and practice Taekwondo.
